"Gone: an Artist's Book of the Dead" is a graphic memoir of my spiritual and creative journey with death as both companion and guide. From an evangelical Christian childhood with a troubled mother, through divorce, my parents' aging and my father's death, creative process has been my way to navigate change, loss and grief. Death, both literal and metaphorical, is interwoven throughout - just as it is in life.

Death is the last taboo. Like the weather, it's big and it's everywhere, except that people DON'T like to talk about it! Making death a more common part of the conversation can transform how we live.
